The Vacaville Sunrise Rotary Club of Vacaville is offering one (1) scholarship for $2,500 per
year for up to 4 years at an accredited university to a student in the Vacaville community.

Rotary is an organization that is focused on community and international service. This
scholarship was put into place to help further educate those who not only work hard to improve
themselves but the community around them as well.

Requirements for application:
(1) Applicants must be a senior in high school graduating in the class of 2026.
(2) Applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.5
(3) Applicants should be able to demonstrate a history of community service.
Interested applicants should submit:
(1) Their high school transcript
(2) A one (1) page essay on the importance of community service
(3) Up to 3 character references with names, phone numbers and email addresses
Please Note:
(1) The scholarship recipient’s funds will go directly to the accredited institution they are
enrolled in once proof of enrollment is sent to the Vacaville Sunrise Rotary Club. Proof of
enrollment will need to be sent yearly to the Vacaville Sunrise Rotary Club for every Fall
Quarter or Semester for the student to continue to receive funding for up to four (4) years
in total.
(2) The scholarship winner will be required to attend one (1) Vacaville Sunrise Rotary Club
meeting every year to update the club on their progress going through their education.
Vacaville Sunrise Rotary Club will send payment to the accredited educational institution
after the student has attended their yearly meeting. The first yearly award of $2,500 will
be sent after the scholarship recipient has attended one (1) Vacaville Sunrise Rotary Club
meeting.
(3) The scholarship recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA in their undergraduate studies in order
to receive continued funding. Scholarship recipients will be required to submit a college
transcript to Vacaville Sunrise Rotary in order to receive next year’s scholarship funding.
(4) Interviews will be held in late March or early April 2026 and will be dependent on
availability of Vacaville Sunrise Rotary Club Scholarship Committee.
